California Redemption Value (CRV) Beverage Container Recycling

Over 18 billion beverage containers are eligible for redemption every year in California.

ARE YOU RECYCLING YOUR BEVERAGE CONTAINERS?

More information can be found on the California Department of Conservation website

Check the labels of your empty beverage containers for ‘CRV’ or ‘CA CASH REFUND’ and turn your trash into cash. Here's what they're worth:
CRV RATES
  • 5 cents per container less than 24 ounces
  • 10 cents per container more than 24 ounces

NOTE: You may need to tell your recycler that you would like to be paid per container. Also, if you have more than 50 containers, your recycler may pay you by weight.
