Who we are
MCAG is a Council of Governments with responsibility to manage and implement regional transportation, transit, and solid waste disposal services, while providing a public forum for cross-jurisdictional issues.
The 11-member MCAG Governing Board/Merced County Waste Management Authority Board includes a supervisor from each of the five county districts and an elected official from each of the six incorporated cities located within the political boundary of Merced County, California. Incorporated cities are: Atwater, Dos Palos, Gustine, Livingston, Los Banos, and Merced.
One of MCAG's programs is the Source Reduction and Recycling (SRRE) Program. The Merced County Association of Governments Source Reduction and Recycling Program provides a county wide public education program that promotes awareness on the importance of participating in source reduction and recycling, and provides guidelines for these practices.
SRRE Member Jurisdictions
SRRE Member jurisdictions include the County of Merced and the Cities of Atwater, Dos Palos, Gustine, Livingston, Los Banos, and Merced.
